Get technical support by phone and, if necessary1, replacement of your failed scanner, for up to 3 years with our Standard Exchange Care Pack Service.
Upon notification, within 3–5 business days (when you call before 2 p.m. PST1, HP will send you the replacement unit at no charge. You must return the defective unit to us within 15 business days of receiving the replacement unit.
Important note: Coverage begins the day you bought the scanner, and this service must be purchased within a year of that date.

Requirements
HP Care Pack Service must be purchased within a year of printer hardware purchase date
Customer must return defective unit to HP within 15 business days of receiving replacement unit
To receive replacement unit, customer must provide collateral in the form of a credit card number until the defective unit is received by HP
HP Care Pack registration must be completed in order to receive service (register online)
Available only in the United States
